Coach Karen Holmes

COACH KAREN HOLMES HIRED AS NEW VARSITY CHEERLEADING COACH

A native of Durham, NC, Coach Holmes grew up dancing and cheering on the competitive circuit. She continued dancing on the Varsity Dance Team at Elon University where she served as co-captain her Junior and Senior seasons. Upon graduating in 2008, she married her high school sweetheart and they relocated to New York City to further their careers. While residing in New York, Coach Holmes danced professionally and was an NFL Cheerleader for the New York Jets from 2010-2012, serving as a captain her last season. A job transfer brought them back down south to North Carolina and they now happily call Charlotte their new home.

Coach Holmes is excited to join the Myers Park Cheerleading family and is looking forward to bringing plenty of new and positive traditions to the program. This is guaranteed to be a year of exciting changes and plenty of hard work. Information regarding summer open gyms and fall tryouts has been posted to both 2013-2014 Fall Varsity and JV Cheerleading pages. Please take a look at all information provided to get ready for an exciting and challenging season ahead!

$200 if registration is submitted by May 15th
$225 if regestration is submitted after May 15th

Options for Payment of the Athletic Participation Fee

 

I.  The preferred option is to pay online with a credit card or debit card.

• MasterCard, Visa, Discover cards accepted

• A 2.25% processing fee, on the total amount paid, will be assessed to your payment.

• You must have the student name and ID number to make an online payment.

• The online payment link is  https://webpay.easydraft.com/CS/CMS-Athletics. You can also find the online payment link on the CMS Website (click on Athletic Participation Fee).  

• Follow the prompt to either create a profile or to make a single payment. If you choose to create a profile, your information is stored for future visits to the site. If you choose to make a single payment, you will be required to enter your information every time to use the site.

• Follow the online prompts/instructions – note the drop down boxes and the required fields.

• Click on scholarship donations if you are making a donation to the general scholarship fund. All donations paid online go to the general scholarship fund.

• Make sure to print a copy of the Successful Payment page for your records.

• You will receive an email verification of your payment which you can email to the school athletic director as verification of payment.

• Contact your school athletic director with questions or concerns.
   

 II.      Pay with a check or money order directly to Myers Park High School (NO CASH).   

• Download the Athletic Fee Worksheet (Form).  Payment must be accompanied with the form filled out completely.  No payment can be turned in without this form as this information is vital to be able to properly credit the student athlete with the payment, which will keep them eligible.
   
• Make the check or money order payable to Myers Park High School.  
   
• You must have the student name and ID number to make a payment at the school.
   
• Payments can be made in the front office, marked to the attention of Kory Formon.  
   
• Coaches/athletic directors cannot accept payment of participation fees.
   
• Cash payments cannot be accepted. 
   
• Make sure to obtain and keep a receipt of your payment for your records.
   
•  Contact your school athletic director with questions or concerns.
